Bedsheet crumpled in soft swirls
Sunlight streams in through dusty glass
Books stacked high in bricks of color
It stays the same as the seasons pass

Movie nights and lazy mornings
Piles of blankets when snowflakes fall
The squeaking of a ceiling fan,
Laughter, and tears echo off the walls

A place of comfort, a place of rest
There I am like a bird in her nest

I stood there in a field 
hearing the sounds of the early birds and the wind hugging the trees
we like to call it silence, but I call It peace
there is not another soul in this wilderness but my own
and I'm free, lost in a place of forgiving water and soulful leafs,
that flow, and blow so gracefully, above my head and under my feet

An Intricate Dance

The forest was bathed  in moonlit  beams
Secrets revealed in  the stirring of dreams
Golden light weaved through ancient trees
Truth was revealed by mysterious keys
A magnificent play of darkness and light
A feast for the soul in unrehearsed  delight
The  moon and forest in an  intricate dance
Melded together by fate and pure chance

There's something about a morning, quickly come, and quickly gone,
But the freshness and the beauty makes it worth that morning yawn.
Watch the sun slow dry the dew
And light against the dark does move
Still and calm and fresh and clean is the invite from a dawn.

There are days
when the sky feels closer
than the ground beneath my feet.

I walk through quiet streets,
carrying conversations
I never had the courage to finish.

A window glows in the distance,
soft and warm against the evening,
and for a moment
I remember

not every light
is meant to lead us somewhere.

Some are simply there
to remind us
that darkness is never
the whole story.

So I keep walking,
slowly,
letting the night pass through me,

until somewhere between
the last shadow
and the first morning light,

I find a little piece
of myself
still waiting to be seen.

To have a thousand wishes is full of greed, 
when one wish is all I need. 
for me to feel happy 
and for me to feel pleased 
is like a light in the dark leading the way. 
if I could make one wish
 it would come true 
I hope
I pray 
that my wish will lead the way
