Will You Stand?

Harrison Root
In the trials of life measured only by sweat and grit,
Do you have what it takes to greet challenge, not forfeit?
And through the unstable, the changing unplanned;
Is the strength found within you, to intrepidly stand?

When the weight of the pressure all life's given freely;
And the awareness of trembling courage felt keenly;
On your shoulders the mass of all air, sea, and land;
With all this to trouble you, still will you stand?

Stand with the purpose of never never failing?
Stand with the promise of each problem assailing?
Stand with resolve to be, in trouble, strong handed?
That when it's all over you can say, "I have standed!"
