My Cowboy

Any Trowbridge
My cowboy,
My cowboy never stays in one place for more than a day.
My cowboy takes what he wants.
My cowboy acts with justice in his heart.
My cowboy avenges his brothers when they fall.

My cowboy is a good man,
he acts on pious deeds.
Yet people are cheering when he's killed.
He wasn't looking at the true justice,
the sun had blinded his eyes.
So while I am crying for the soul of my cowboy,
Be sure you know you acted better than he.
