Mother and Child’s Talk of the Moon

Velvet Moon
Mother?

Yes, dear?

What’s that gray thing in the wandering sky?

Oh, well that’s the moon

And it isn’t lost, it knows its proper place

It stays up there till nighttime ends

And daylight begins

Then once daylight has had its turn

It comes out to shine its pretty moonbeams again
