Sourdough

First Verse
Day one: flour, water, faith.
Day three: nothing, and a smell like regret.
Day five: bubbles, and I called two people.

I have kept a plant alive for a season.
I have kept a friendship alive for a decade.
This is the first thing I have kept alive
that needs me exactly every day
and gives me back a loaf for it.
